June Photo A Day Challenge & Book Challenge – June 13th

June Movie Photo Challenge:

Made from a Book:

So while I do have this movie, I’m feeling kind of anxious and don’t feel like digging for it, so I’m going to use a picture from Google Images. Also, I know Stephen King would probably hate that I’m choosing this movie since he supposedly doesn’t like it, but that’s too bad. I like it! I admit though that I’ve actually never read the book to compare it to.

While I didn’t feel up to digging for The Shining, I did know exactly where this book was. I’m getting a little creative here, because honestly, this is probably the only book that really makes me want to travel. It’s a tour book that I got from a Jewel concert that I went to!

book

My cousin had given me a Barnes and Noble gift card and I purchased this book. I’m so glad I did because it was amazing! I highly recommend you guys check it out, especially if you’re a fan of animals! Here’s a description found on amazon:

LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well. Nine months ago, a shocking assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty—until he meets his new partner.

Maggie is not doing so well, either. A German shepherd who survived two tours in Afghanistan sniffing explosives before losing her handler, her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s.

They are each other’s last chance. And they’re about to investigate the one case no one wants them to touch: identifying the men who murdered Stephanie. But what they find could ultimately break them both. —Amazon.com

ALL TIME FAVORITE!

Without a doubt, my all time favorite movie is Back to the Future! Always has been, always will be. I’m not sure how old I was when I first saw it, but I fell in love right away. All the characters and actors are great, the plot is done fantastically well, and it’s just an amazing movie about time travel and the repercussions of such. I’ve seen the movie more times than I can count and I never grow tired of it!

So I think I’m gonna give up on reading The Da Vinci Code for now and start reading Dead Lines again soon. I really did want to finish The Da Vinci Code, but I took it out from the library and can’t renew it again. So, I think I’m just gonna move on to Dead Lines, which I’m looking forward to reading again!

Across the Universe!

This is a great movie! When I saw the commercials for it, I thought it would be creepy but I ended up loving it! It’s done so well and the music is great! To be honest, while I had obviously heard of The Beatles and their music before, this movie made me appreciate them even more! Also, the singers that they choose to sing the famous band’s songs are fantastic and I even own the Soundtrack! If you haven’t done so already, please check out this fantastic movie!

Unlike Across the Universe, I don’t own this movie to have taken a picture of it. However, it was a fairly good film and was done really well! I loved how, for the majority, the movie was in black and white and then started to slowly turn to color. The movie also has a not so subtle moral, which I also think was done creatively!

Favorite Romantic Pairing:

This is a great movie and I love the chemistry between characters Maggie (Meg Ryan) and Sam (Matthew Broderick). While the characters have a very different outlook on life, they work together beautifully and make a wonderful couple. The movie is witty, fun, and a great romantic comedy! I love how well the movie illustrates that opposites really can attract!

To be honest, I can’t remember if I ever bought a book just for the cover. If I did, it was probably when I was a lot younger and I can’t really remember what book it would have been. Sorry guys!

This image was found on Google Images. I can’t be positive that I read this Harry Potter book in one day, but I’m pretty sure it was either this one or the second one. Also, I’m fairly certain that I either read it in one day or a couple of days. I remember reading it really fast! I do have the book somewhere, but I didn’t feel like digging it out! Sorry for the laziness!

HORROR FILM!

I purposely made sure that I didn’t get what the bad guy looks like in the picture, it kind of ruins the element of surprise when he shows up in the movie! Anyways, if you want to see a creepy movie, check this out!
