Ironically, today’s challenge is difficult because there are too many characters to choose from! There are so many amazing characters that it would be awesome if they were real! However, after a lot of thinking, I’ve decided to go with Gary Hobson (Kyle Chandler) from Early Edition. He’s a loyal friend, is selfless, and uses the fact that he gets tomorrow’s paper today to help people! Plus, he’s cute! It would be great to have someone like that in the world!
Today’s challenge is a little tricky for me. Most of the actors and actresses that I like are good in basically everything I’ve seen them in. I think there was one movie where Jennifer Aniston was really depressing (Friends with Money, maybe?) but I’m not even sure I watched the whole thing. Therefore, I’m changing the prompt a little. These are two actresses that I loved in Friends, but not in much else.
Lisa Kudro – While I liked her in Mad About You and Friends, I have to admit that those are the only two things I liked her in. I think I tried to watch like one or two episodes of Web Therapy but really didn’t like it.
Courteney Cox – This is a big one. I LOVED Courteney Cox in Friends but in shows like Cougar Town, I soon found out that she’s not very good at acting. I found this really disappointing! Maybe the writing in Friends was so good that it made her look like a good actress? I’m not really sure!
There’s no doubt in my mind when it comes to whose sense of humor that I love! Lorelai Gilmore (Loren Graham) from Gilmore Girls. She’s hilarious! Her jokes are classic and I love her sarcasm! Funniest…character…ever!
About a year ago, my best friend introduced me to Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events. The two books of the series that he had lent me lay untouched for about two months, until I started reading it because I had no other new books to read. And boy, was I hooked! I finished both of the books on the same day, whilst pretending my engagement, a word which here means “a chemistry test the next afternoon” didn’t exist. (Snicket fans, see what I did there? 🙂 )
By the time I finished reading the fifth book, I was saying, “Where have these books been all my life!?” One thing I love about the series is how Lemony Snicket delivers eclectic wisdom in humorous and unexpected ways. Here are a few of my favourites (a few only, because I have too many to count) that I picked off Google Images.
Okay, so I wanted to write a lighter post for today. I think that everyone sometimes likes to watch shows that are a little less dramatic and tense and a little more relaxing.
Now don’t get me wrong, I watch quite a few shows that are a little more tense. I love the shows Limitless, Arrow, and Nashville. They’re all shows that are a little tense and dramatic at times. However, I also like a couple of shows that are simply funny and relaxing. They’re actually cartoons, but they’re quite humorous. I thought I’d share them with you! They’re great for when you’re stressed and just want to relax!
1.) Pinky and the Brain
A show about two mice. Brain is the one that wants to take over the world and who thinks he has the smarts to do it. Pinky is his best friend and sidekick who is more interested in eating cheese and watching T.V. It’s a hilarious show and I’d be lying if I said that Pinky didn’t crack me up!
The “story” goes that the Warner Brothers created the characters and that after the show didn’t do well, they locked the Warner Brothers (and sister) in the Warner Brother tower. However, on occasion, Yacco, Wacco, and Dot along with Pinky and the Brain, and some other characters escape and run around! I just started watching this show on Netflix and it’s really funny! It’s a great show about nonsense!
