What was the last book you read? Did you enjoy it?

I want to say it was Cradle and All by James Patterson or Stay Close by Harlan Coben. They were both great!

What TV shows have mattered to you?

So while I think the word ‘mattered’ is a little strong (after all, in the end, they are just shows), here’s a list of my favorite shows!)

Friends – Friends is my all time favorite show. It has great actors and is hilarious. I have all the seasons and honestly I could (and have) watch them a million times. Also, I know that a lot of people pick on little things that are unrealistic, but I think it’s one of the more realistic comedies. I mean, take Seinfeld for example – utterly unrealistic. Friends has also helped me relax during stressful times.

Quantum Leap – Quantum Leap is a great show about a scientist bouncing around to different times in his lifetime to ‘fix things that once went wrong’. It’s an amazing show that can be utterly heartfelt. I also love the character Al – he’s awesome! This show also means a lot to me because I remember my dad watching it when I was younger.

Early Edition – Early Edition is a great show about an average  guy who goes out of his way to help others. Every morning a cat arrives at his door with tomorrow’s news – how awesome is that? Plus, Kyle Chandler is an attractive, talented actor! This is another show I remember watching when I was younger and still enjoy watching.

Gilmore Girls – Gilmore Girls is a show that both makes me laugh and cry. I love so many of the characters as well. Great show!

Supernatural – Supernatural is a fantastic show. As I’ve mentioned before, I really thought it would suck. I’m sorry, but it’s true. I was bored one day and saw it on Netflix. I had heard of so many people watching it so I decided to try it, and man am I happy I did! I’ve seen all the seasons (some twice) and am still watching the show! Fantastic! It’s also fun being able to talk to some amazing people about the show!

Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman – Another great show that my dad introduced to me. Honestly, I think Teri Hatcher plays the best version of Lois Lane and I think Dean Cain plays a great Clark Kent/Superman.

Mad About You – Mad About You is a great comedy about a married couple living in New York.

Alias and Prison Break – I’m grouping these together because they’re my two favorite action shows. I like Alias more but Prison Break is pretty awesome too!

I love a lot of shows, but in my opinion, these are the best of the best!

November Challenge – November 25th

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving and fantastic Thursday. For those of you shopping today for Black Friday, I hope you have a great and safe time. Also, if you’re a Gilmore Girls fan, don’t forget the continuation of the series starts today!!! I’d like to give special thanks to my good friend Rae for telling me about it and Carla for reminding me that it started today. Somehow I almost forgot when I woke up this morning!

Today’s question for the November challenge is…

What music are you listening to right now?

Well at the moment, nothing, but in general, I listen to a lot of music. My musical tastes vary from Blondie to Train with a lot in between. To be honest though, I prefer older music to newer music – I don’t mean to sound like an old lady, but I feel like newer music is missing something. I’d much rather be listening to Huey Lewis or Michael Jackson than Taylor Swift or Justin Beiber.

Here’s a list of just some of the singers/bands I like (not in any specific order):

Jewel

Huey Lewis

Michael Jackson

Stevie Wonder

Al Stewart

Train

Blondie

America

Pat Benatar

And So Many More!

Do Apps help or waste your time? Does FaceBook make you feel bad?

Hey guys! Today I’ll be answering two questions in one post since I don’t plan on blogging tomorrow due to the holiday.

So for the first question: Do apps help or waste my time? Well, I think that some apps are helpful (the calendar app, the alarm clock app, the reminder app, Shazam, the notes app, etc.) but I think some are a waste of time. Honestly, other than Shazam, I don’t have any additional apps that didn’t already come with the phone. I do know that some people download apps to help with their anxiety and I think that doing so can be incredibly beneficial for some.

As for Facebook, I honestly don’t have one. Personally, I don’t tend to trust a lot of social media platforms. Therefore, I guess in a way the concept of Facebook does make me feel bad.

In case I don’t do any blogging tomorrow, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and great Thursday tomorrow!

When’s the last time you did something nice for a stranger?

I used to say that I never really did anything nice for strangers, but I think (and hope) that since I started blogging, that has changed. I mean I technically don’t know anyone I talk to online, but I still try to help. Also, I think that even smiling when you see someone or talking to them can be a kind act and I have done that! So to answer the question, the last time I did something nice for a stranger was probably yesterday!

How do you help people, in small ways, in large ways, however?

I like to think that I help people by sharing my experiences with anxiety and by simply being there when someone needs a shoulder to lean on or a listening ear. I like to think that through writing my blog and writing articles on The Seeds 4 Life, that I help people realize their strength and just how wonderful they truly are.

What about you? How do you help people?

Is doing nothing a waste of time?

Another good question. I think for the most part, doing nothing is a waste of time. However, I do think that sometimes it isn’t. I think we all need to take breaks and just relax. I know that for me, when I’m feeling really anxious, doing nothing isn’t a waste of time. In fact, sometimes doing nothing is a very useful thing: it gives you the break you need to recharge!

What did you once love, but now hate?

Good question!

Pineapples – Okay, I never loved them, but I used to eat them. Now I hate them!

Applesauce – Again, I never loved it, but I used to eat it. Now I only eat it when I have to take it with my medicine. Otherwise, I find it pretty gross. My medicine definitely ruined applesauce for me!

Shrimp – The first time I ever tried shrimp, I liked it. Then I tried it like a year later and couldn’t stand it!

Hummus – I used to eat Hummus whenever my mom bought it and then I started to hate it. Gross.

The singer Jewel’s personality – Okay, to be fair, I don’t totally hate her personality. I respect her a lot, like how she’s honest, and love her view on life when it comes to being positive and everything. What I do hate though is how all of a sudden she makes it like she had this shitty life. Maybe she did, but I feel like she didn’t start saying so until her career started going down the tubes a little. Coincidence? I don’t think so, but hey, what do I know?
