Hi everyone and Happy New Year! I thought I would share with you some of my resolutions. I think writing them out is both a great way to encourage myself to follow through as well as seeing the importance of doing such. Also, I would love to be able to inspire you all to follow your dreams and any resolutions that you set for yourself as well. With hard work, we can accomplish our goals. So, without further ado, here are my resolutions for the new year!
1.) Be More Confident – While I mainly made this resolution for work, it deals with being more confident in general as well. While I know I am intelligent and have the information and knowledge I need, I oftentimes find myself doubting myself. This can be dangerous for my mental health. It also makes me feel like I can’t trust myself, which is far from the truth. It leads me to feel as if I need to depend on others for answers, when really, I am capable of making the right decisions. When it comes to my confidence in general and how it effects my anxiety, I need to realize that I can trust both my mind and body. I also need to realize that I have the strength and ability to face my fears and overcome them. I have already made a large amount of progress and can continue to do so with hard work on a consistent basis.
2.) Don’t let the negativity of others bring me down – It can be hard not to let the cruelty or negativity that others throw my way get to me. However, I am an intelligent, hard working, kind individual and I need to realize that instead of, again, doubting myself. I need to acknowledge that some people are simply never satisfied and that it doesn’t always reflect on me. I need to focus on my improvements and my abilities, as well as my qualities.
3.) Write More – With writing being something I love and something that is very dear to my heart, I have to make sure that I continue to make it a priority. While I do have another main job and while I do like and appreciate it, I cannot forget about writing and how important it is to me. My dad and grandmother have played a vital role in reminding me that writing is something that I should never give up on. I should not allow it to fall by the wayside; allowing it to fade away like so many dreams unfortunately do.
4.) Exercise More – This last resolution was actually suggested by a relative. They know how much I want to get into better shape and so they said that I should do ten sit ups a day. Therefore, I have decided that it is in fact a good idea and am working on just that.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my resolutions! I hope you all have a happy and safe new year and remember – you can and will accomplish your goals and dreams if you work hard on a consistent basis!
