  1. My favorite genre is “OMG BOOKS!! YES PLEASE!” LOL

I also like: general fiction, psychology, sociology, classics, religion, & poetry. XD

    Which is your favorite?

    • Ha!

I have to say my favorite genre is thriller books! I think if you would have asked years ago I would have said Fantasy, but now I enjoy books that are more fast-paced. I love Harlan Coben and James Patterson. They write great thriller novels! 🙂

      • I think I’ve read some Patterson. Or I have one of his books on my bookshelf. I can’t remember. XD

It’s neat that your tastes as a reader are changing & growing with you! 🙂

      • I didn’t realize that he wrote with other people. I didn’t see their names on the covers.

What about that bothers you? I don’t know much about him, so I’m not sure if it would bother me. Your insight would be really helpful!

      • Well, I could just be being too judgmental, but I find it a little suspicious that almost all of his books are written with the help of others. Don’t get me wrong, he’s written plenty of amazing books on his own, but I feel like authors should write most of their books solo if that makes sense. Plus people make big deal about how he comes out with books so fast but maybe that’s because he has a lot of help? I dunno. He’s still one of my favorite writers and I would LOVE to meet him. In fact, one of my relatives supposedly did and I’m super jealous!

      • I don’t know if that makes you particularly judgmental. Maybe you just think, considering how hard you worked on your book, it’s sort of a “cheating” for him to have help?

Then again, it’s also possible he needs the help because his fans expect him to come out with books quickly? I mean, that’s a lot of pressure.

Regardless, how you feel is how you feel! That’s perfectly acceptable. It’s something I’ll keep in mind if/when I read his work. 🙂

      • I honestly don’t think it has to do with my book at all. I thought this about him before. I just think that everyone makes this huge deal about how he writes so fast, but he obviously has help. It makes me wonder how much of the book he actually writes, you know? Regardless, he’s a much better writer than I could ever be!

      • That makes sense… I mean, the part about you thinking he shouldn’t be praised for writing so fast when he has help. & I get that it makes you question how much he actually writes.

I disagree, though, that he’s better than you could ever be! You don’t know that! You’re just getting started!
