How do your relieve stress?

As most of you know, I have severe anxiety. While sometimes it can be really difficult to relax, here are some things that I find helpful:

1.) Distract your mind!

  • Watch TV, read a book, write, play a game, clean – anything healthy to get your mind off your negative thoughts and anxious feelings! Also, sometimes lying down can be incredibly helpful!

2.) This goes hand in hand with distracting yourself, but sometimes just thinking about positive things such as that last TV show you watched, what your plans are for next week, or the next story you want to write can be really beneficial.

3.) Remember all the great things in your life

  • Focus on the accomplishments you’ve made, the good relationships you have, and the talents that you possess!

4.) Talk to someone you trust

  • Talk to a loved one about how you feel. Sometimes just venting takes the pressure off!
