Hi everyone! I just want to give you all a quick update on my book being published. Hopefully everything will be up and running by November 1st at the latest. I will be sure to let you know when it’s officially available for purchase!
In the meantime, while I don’t want to give too much information away, I will give you a hint as to what you can expect from the story. First of all, when it comes to genre, it’s mainly fantasy. There’s a lot to do with the idea of ghosts and the afterlife, which I think is pretty exciting stuff, especially around Halloween! However, in no way does this book need to be read around Halloween. It’s a great story for all year ’round! Also, while the story is great for young adults, it’s also a great book for those who are older as well.
Today’s challenge is favorite scream queen. To be honest, I don’t really have one. However, I do like a few actresses that are considered scream queens (I just haven’t seen the movies that they’re considered scream queens for, if that makes sense). Here are some actresses that I like that have been called scream queens.
1.) Kate Beckinsale – I did see Kate Beckinsale in Van Helsing, but didn’t see her in Underworld. I’ve also seen her in non-horror/horror based movies like Serendipity and really like her!
2.) Katie Cassidy – I’ve seen Katie Cassidy as Ruby in Supernatural, Laurel Lance in Arrow (along with Laurel Lance in The Flash in a couple of episodes and Legends of Tomorrow in an episode) and really liked her. I especially loved her as Ruby in Supernatural! She was actually pretty freakin’ awesome!
I can’t tell you the number of times I have sat down and started to write about my political views, because..well, quite frankly; I am fed up! I can’t tell you the number of people who have told me they have lost friends over this years political debate. All I can do is shake my head. Can’t we just agree to disagree? If I decided to stop being friends with people who didn’t share the exact same political views that I do, well I wouldn’t have any friends. Seriously people, when your heart is hurting & you need to reach out to someone are you going to be able to call Donald Trump or Hilary Clinton? No, they have far more important things to deal with than your broken heart…it’s a shame you let your friends go, isn’t it?
Every time I try to write about politics it leads me…
Shealea from That Bookshelf Bitch created this awesome feature. I’ve participated a couple of times already and have decided to do it again!

I will be rec’ding and wreck’ding TV shows!
1.) Legends of Tomorrow: I was late to the party, but I think I’m caught up now. This is a great show and the White Canary kicks ass! The only thing is that if you’ve never seen The Flash or Arrow, you might be a little confused.
2.)Man with a Plan: While I doubt it will last very long because networks never seem to give Matt Leblanc shows the chances they deserve (other than Friends, of course!), I thought Man with a Plan was really good. Matt Leblanc is hilarious and I liked Liza Snyder too. The show is just really funny so far!
3.) Frequency: Peyton List and Riley Smith are great in Frequency. I also love the idea of father and daughter being able to communicate through the radio, whilst years apart from each other. In addition to the concept being cool, I like the way they show the cause and effect of changing time. The only issue I have with the show is that it can be a bit repetitive at times.
Sadly I feel like a lot of my favorite shows have gone down hill. Here’s a few:
1.) The Flash: I was already getting irritated with Barry changing things so many freakin’ times in the past, but once I found out there was yet another ‘speedster’, I couldn’t take it any longer! I think the writers realized that they made a huge mistake, but I don’t think they were able to fix it. It’s too bad too, this show could have been amazing! I’ve officially given up on it.
2.) Supergirl: I could go on and on complaining about this show. Supergirl was never strong or believable as a superhero to begin with, but now she has like twenty different people helping her! I like her character as an every day human being, but as a superhero, she’s very disappointing. I feel like part of the show’s purpose is to show that women are just as strong as men, but it fails miserably in trying to demonstrate this. Again, this is a show that I’ve stopped watching.
3.) Arrow: While I haven’t stopped watching Arrow quite yet, I’m getting dangerously close. After Oliver’s amazing team all went their separate ways (the characters are still in the show, but have tiny parts), I’m just not feeling it. Oliver has assembled a new team but none of the members really stick out and the one who does sticks out in a bad way – she’s utterly annoying. The only good thing is that Stephen Amell remains amazing and so does Emily Bett Rickards. David Ramsey and Paul Blackthorne are also still great, but their parts are so small that you can hardly say they’re in the show at all. I’m hoping that changes soon, but I don’t have much hope for the show.
For favorite funny – scary TV show, I’m picking a show that’s not really scary at all, but just plain hilarious. It’s a spoof on scary stuff though, so I think it counts! And the winner is…The Munsters!
Hey everyone! I have some very exciting news! I will soon be publishing my very first book EVER! I am so excited to share this special time in my life with all of you. After about one year of working on my story, I’ve finally finished and have come across the opportunity to publish it online. I want to thank all of you for your support with my writing!
While it is still a work in progress, due to the fact that I have not quite yet published the story, I have begun creating a new blog for my book! If you’d like, you can check out the blog here! You can also check out the blog by clicking the link located on the top menu of this blog. For now, the link is titled ‘Book Blog – Coming Soon’. The name will change after I publish the book. I will of course still do my regular posts on this blog, but information about the book will be available on the new one!
In addition, I will be writing a post letting you know when the book is officially published. I promise it will be very soon!
Publishing a book has been a long time dream of mine. I’m so happy that I’ll have the opportunity to publish my story and that I can share this wonderful news with all of you, some of whom have supported me for quite some time!
I’m not 100% sure this counts, but I’m going to pick the legend of Hellhounds! As many of you know, I watch and love the show Supernatural and think the concept of Hellhounds (while scary) is pretty cool!
So when I was younger, I was often told that I was impatient. I like to think that I’ve gotten better at this, but once in a while, I just get so excited that I can hardly wait for something. On one hand, I think this is a good thing. It means that I’m excited and looking forward to something great! Who doesn’t want that? However, at the same time, being impatient can really suck.
I was (and am) super excited about something happening in my life. The thing is though that while I thought this certain thing would happen unbelievably soon, I think it may end up taking a little longer than I would have hoped. I’m not going to lie, it bums me out. You should have seen me. I was so full of energy and pep because of this great thing happening and now, I feel like I’ve lost a little bit of that spark.
As hard as it is though to have to wait longer for this wonderful thing to happen, I know that it will happen. I also know that when it does, it’ll feel pretty amazing! I’m realizing that the reason I’m disappointed is because what is happening is so amazing that I don’t want to wait any longer. When you think about it, that’s pretty great. It’s wonderful that I have something going on that’s so special and important to me!
I’m writing this because I know how hard it can be to wait for something that you’re so excited about! You make plans, map things out in your head, and then poof, you hit a snag or find that your plans might be delayed. Even if by delayed you mean an extra week, it can sometimes feel like forever. What I want to remind everyone (including myself) though is that the reason for your impatience is because you’re about to experience something wonderful – something worthwhile, and you don’t want to have it put off. Isn’t that the ultimate dream? That we get to experience something so amazing?
Next time you find yourself growing impatient because something wonderful might take longer than expected, remember how great it is that this amazing thing is going to happen! Don’t lose your excitement! Good things come to those who wait.
I had a favorite monster in mind, but then I realized it’s more of the scariest monster which is a prompt for later on in the challenge. Therefore, since I’m not quite sure what my favorite monster is, I’m going to go with a monster that I thought looked really cool! Djinns from Supernatural!
