August Alphabet Music Challenge – August 4th

Today is a little harder when it comes to the challenge. I was looking at my iPod to see what artists I have that start with the letter ‘D’. The most songs listed under one band/singer’s name is under Destiny’s Child (Survivor, Soldier, Check On It, Jumpin, Bug a Boo). However, while I like their music, I don’t really listen to their songs as much as I used to. I do, however, think the song Survivor is great for getting through hard times. In fact, I often think of anxiety as what the song is talking about instead of a past boyfriend. Another one of the few artists I have listed that start with the letter ‘D’ is Don McLean who of course wrote American Pie, a song that I love. I don’t really think I have a favorite band or artist that starts with the letter ‘D’, but I like both the song Survivor by Destiny’s Child and American Pie by Don McLean a great deal, so I’m going to go with those.

August Alphabet Music Challenge – August 3rd

After careful consideration, my favorite singer with a first name that starts with a ‘C’ is Carrie Underwood! I’m not a huge country music fan (in fact, for the most part I hate it), but I really like a few of Carrie Underwood’s songs. Some of the songs include: Before He Cheats, Songs Like This, Undo It, and Cowboy Casanova. I think she has a beautiful voice!

August Alphabet Music Challenge – August 2nd

For today’s challenge, I’m going to pick both my favorite band and my favorite singer that starts with the letter ‘B’. My favorite band that starts with the letter ‘B’ is The Beatles, who brought us great songs and were the inspiration for the movie Across the Universe (a great movie by the way, highly recommend it!). My favorite singer whose name starts with the letter ‘B’ is Bryan Adams!

August Alphabet Music Challenge – August 1st

Happy August 1st everyone! Today’s challenge is to pick your favorite singer/band that starts with the letter ‘A’. I choose Alanis Morrisette! My favorite songs by her are: Hand in My Pocket, Head Over Feet, and Ironic (yes, I know, the things she list aren’t really ironic. Get over it!)

August Alphabet Music Challenge!

Hey guys! For this month’s challenge, Carla and I have decided to do an Alphabet Music Challenge! Each day of the month, you can pick your favorite band/singer that starts with the specified letter for that day. Carla and I realize that some days may be harder than others and therefore, if you can’t come up with an answer for some of them, no worries. However, we’d love for you to participate the best you can and everyone is invited to join in! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or Carla. Thank you to everyone who participated in July’s challenge and who participates in August’s!
