Hey guys! September is just around the corner and Carla and I have created another photo challenge! I’m super excited for this one. ‘Character’ refers to characters from TV shows or movies (unless otherwise specified). If you have any questions regarding the schedule, don’t hesitate to ask Carla or myself! Everyone is welcome to participate! Feel free to let me know if you as I’d love to see your answers!
Today’s letter is ‘Z’ and I honestly have no favorites for that letter. While there will be some repeats (sorry!), I’ve decided to post pictures of artists who sing relaxing songs that you can fall asleep to!
Since I can’t think of any artists or bands that start with the letter ‘Y’, I’m going to list some singers and bands that I listened to when I was younger, but not really anymore. Some of these will be repeats.
I know that musicians sometimes change over time, but Avril Lavigne changed a lot in my opinion. She went from being different and stating that she was unlike other singers, to seeming to want to conform. I loved her first two CDs but after that I kind of lost interest. Her music just changed drastically.
Don’t get me wrong, I still like their older music and some of their newer stuff is okay. However, just like Avril Lavigne, I feel like they’re so concerned with being ‘popular’, that they kind of lost their touch.
Bowling for Soup
I was never a huge fan of the band, but I did like some of their songs. It’s not so much that I don’t like them now, I just haven’t heard any of their recent stuff (nor do I care to). I still do like a couple of their older songs though!
Every time a Teddy Geiger song comes up on my iPod, I change it. I used to like him because his voice sounded a little like John Mayer’s, but now when I hear his voice, it just sounds so cheesy (John Mayer’s doesn’t, Teddy Geiger’s does!).
Who did you guys like when you were younger but not anymore? Are their any singers/bands that you like their older stuff still but not their newer stuff?
So I don’t have any singer/band favorites for the letter ‘X’. Therefore, for today’s challenge, I’ve decided to post a picture of a singer that I used to like when I was much younger but now can’t stand! Phil Collins. When I first saw Tarzan and heard the songs he wrote for the movie, I loved them. Now I can’t stand his voice. My dad’s a huge fan though and plays his stuff all the time. Yuck!
Hey everyone! I have some great news to share! Some of my good blog friends and I have created a new blog! So my iPod died and I’m having brain freeze. Don’t get me wrong, I can remember some artists and bands that I like that start with ‘W’ but no real favorites. Therefore, I’m just going to list some and show pictures.
V is definitely for…Vanessa Carlton! She has a beautiful voice and great songs! I love a good amount of her original work and I love her version of Paint It Black! SO good! I could listen to Unsung and Paint It Black every day! I must admit though, that my favorite disk was her first. After that, I think her music kind of changed and not in a good way.
