The Coffee Book Tag!

So Kat from Life and Other Disasters did another awesome book tag! I decided to take it upon myself to complete it as well. So, without further ado…here are the questions!

A series that’s tough to get into but has hardcore fans.

Hmmm…I’m gonna go with the Harry Potter books. I mean, they weren’t really hard to get into and I liked them at the time, but I feel they were overrated. Meanwhile, a lot of other people are in love with them!

I’m gonna cheat on this one…well, sort of. I don’t really read this book a lot, but I own it. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens!

A favorite children’s book.

I honestly don’t really have one. When I was younger though, I was in love with this Barney ant book!

A book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

I’m gonna name two here: Nathaniel and The Unwanted by John Saul! Great, suspenseful books!

A book you see everywhere.

Ha, this is funny because there is a Starbucks everywhere! When it comes to books though, I dunno. I hear about The Girl on the Train and stuff a lot.

A book by an indie author (a shoutout).

I simply don’t know.

A book you were expecting more from

I hate to say this (plus I’m not sure how fair it is to say, since I didn’t give the book much of a chance), but I couldn’t get into Harlan Coben’s Missing You. I’m not sure why, either. I just couldn’t get myself to keep reading. I will one day though!

A book or series that was both bitter and sweet, but ultimately satisfying.

I have the perfect one for this! One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey.

A book or series that is quietly beautiful.

I’m not sure what this means, but this is a nice romance book. Sunday’s at Tiffany’s by James Patterson (a good movie too, though mine broke! 😦  )

A book or series that makes you dream of far off places.

Well, maybe not of a real place, but Inkheart by Cornelia Funke is a good book abut the beautiful idea of characters coming to life.

Favorite classic.

I’m not really a fan of classics, so I’m just going to say One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. I don’t think it’s really considered a classic, but it’s an older book and really good (so is the movie by the way! I highly recommend it!)

I tag:

Lizzie from Anxious Ramblings of a Fragile Mind

Mary from Mary’s Average Adventures

Kendra from Reads and Treats
