Letters to the Mind Update #2

Hi guys! Today I’d like to talk to you again about Jade Moore’s wonderful blog, Letters to the Mind. Jade has a huge heart and has created this wonderful blog for anyone who struggles with mental health issues. A short explanation of the project that Jade has created is as follows:

“This is a project that aims to address Mental Health issues by writing to them through the medium of letters, poems, short essays/creative non-fiction and any other forms that contributors wish to write in.” -Jade Moore

Jades idea is to write to our mental health issues, thereby personifying them, so that we can tell them in a matter of speaking to back off. Personifying our mental health issues allows us to detach from them and realize that we are not our anxiety, etc., but rather it is something that we deal with. However, we don’t have to allow it to control us! We are stronger than our fears and other issues!

Not only does Jade have the wonderful blog for her project, but she also has her regular blog, Jade Moore which is filled with wonderful poetry and writing. Also the following are some of the social media accounts where you can find more information for the Letters of the Mind project:

Twitter: @LettersMind

Tumblr: yourletterstothemind.tumblr.com

I really love this project. By writing to our mental health issues, we’re not only helping ourselves, but we’re reminding others that they are not alone. Also, we need to show each other and ourselves that we are stronger than our fears!

Here are the wonderful contributors that have written to their mental health issues so far. Please consider joining them! I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed to and helped with the project so far!

Jenny Marie from Peace from Panic

B. L. Memee from Memee’s Musings

MPH from The Tarnished Mirror

Matt from The Pebble in my Shoe

Jen from The Anxiety Chronicles

B.G. from Getting Through Anxiety

Jade from Jade Moore and Letters to Anxiety

Again, thank you to all who have participated in this great project so far. Also, I’d like to give a big thank you to Jade for creating Letters to the Mind in the first place. It’s a wonderful project and I truly believe it will help people who struggle with mental health issues along with those who don’t understand what it’s like to struggle. I’m so happy to be a part of something so amazing! Please join the above individuals in this project. There’s no deadline and the rules are simple!
