I’ve been nominated by Sunesis at Atomic Words for The Epically Awesome Award! Thank you so much! It means so much to me! 🙂
The Award Rules:
- I know you are Awesome, tell us why.
- You are my friends and tell us about others.
- Be creative. It’s alright if you can’t be.
- I give no questions to be fully answered but let yourself go here. Thank you.
Why I’m Awesome:
I feel kind of conceited answering this (then again, I don’t find it conceited for anyone else to answer), but I think I’m awesome for the following reasons:
- I’m kind. I truly care about people and try to help. Yes, I go through a lot with my anxiety, but I don’t feel that it makes it okay to not help others. In fact, I feel it gives me more reason to extend a helping hand.
- I love people and animals.
- I’m talented. I don’t know how good of a writer I am, but I think I’m pretty good. I try hard to use my writing for good as well.
- I created this blog! I didn’t realize how many friends I’d make and people I’d be able to help, but I think it’s fair to say that I’ve managed to accomplish both (or at least I hope I’ve helped people).
Who Are My Friends?
My friends are the people who care about me, encourage me, and stick by my side even when things are tough. So many of you are my friends on here and you all mean so much to me. To name you all would take forever, but I hope you all know who you are! Also, I consider a lot of my family members my friends as well because without family, my life wouldn’t be the same. I also have friends who don’t read this blog, but still mean the world to me.
Be Creative
Hmm…I’ll write a quick poem (sorry if it’s not the best. Writing on the spot here!)
The smile forms across my face
As I see a sign that I am loved
A sign that I am appreciated
For all that I try to do
The fact that you are here
The fact that you bring me joy
Is one of the very reasons
That I’m so thankful for you

And really all of you!
Aww thanks Hun! This seems like so much fun! I’ll link you once I’m done 😄 xo.
Thanks and you’re very welcome. Hope you’re doing well! 🙂 Have you started working on your letter/poem etc. to anxiety?
I’m doing well, just really tired. It’s been a busy week! Hope you’re well also. I haven’t started the letter/poem yet. I’ll have to do that when my son is in school and I have some peace and quiet lol :).
I’m happy you’re doing well. Can’t wait to read what you write! 🙂
Thanks! Same with you! I’m about to write up my answers for the award you gave me and I was able to write up a short poem for the creative portion of it. 🙂
Awesome. My poem was okay…I did it on the spot. Lol
I liked it! lol I just wrote mine too :). But took me a little bit to rhyme a certain word! lol
Yeah, rhyming can be tough. Sometimes I have a habit of rhyming just to rhyme…doesn’t end well! Thanks for saying you liked my poem! 🙂
I love opening up a thesaurus when I’m writing my poems. Helps a lot! Didn’t so that now and feeling exhausted and sleepy, I just took my time to think haha. I prefer my poems to rhyme, but I have written some that don’t :).
Yeah I’m the same way. Once in college my professor said how I needed to write different styled poems because I stuck to the same style. It was funny because I like writing stories better and was like, “I don’t really plan on writing poetry”. Lol. I know they have rhyming dictionaries. Maybe I should get one some day. 🙂
Lol I hear you. I’ve bee. Writing poems since I was about 14, so I prefer them over stories. But I do enjoy writing kid stories :). I bought my best friend a rhyming dictionary because he writes songs. He really liked it.
That’s cool. I think poems are a little easier but I really want to become a fiction author!
I think it depends on what s person writes about. It can sometimes take weeks to finish s poem :). That sounds great!
Yeah. I think a lot of people are WAY better at poetry than me. I wish I could write really deep ones.
It’s funny because after I write them I never feel like they are deep. But as long as I’m getting my point across I guess :).
That’s how I feel! 🙂 If you want, you can send an email over my way!
We are our toughest critics! lol Aw thanks!
Thank you so much for being beautifully honest and open. This has been beautiful and touching and very unselfish (who knew awards would have all these? lol)
But these are just some of the reasons why you are awesome. 😊
Thank you for the poem.
You’re welcome and thank you again. It was such a kind gesture! 🙂
Thank you for such kind words! You’re so wonderful!
This is the first time I’ve been nominated and I’m really looking forward to doing this later on when I have the time! Thank you giving me the chance! I’m also really pleased to see you talking with Jen about writing to anxiety 🙂
You’re welcome! Have a great day Jade!
You too!
I’m gonna send you an email your way. I talked to someone else about your project.
Wow, thank you, I’ll look forward to reading the email.
K. Just sent it. No rush though.
