Something to Reach For

When you find yourself making progress, embrace it! While this is not an invitation to stop practicing (far from it), it is an invitation to focus on your progress and enjoy the happiness that comes along with it. While there may still be days where you struggle, a great way to push through these times is to focus on your positive experiences. Anxiety is often difficult to get through and when we see that we can indeed get through it, we need to hold on to that truth. So when you feel good about getting through something that is usually difficult for you, take it all in! If you should come across an obstacle that seems hard to get over, remember how good it felt when you faced your anxiety the last time and got through it. Remind yourself that you CAN in fact get through your anxiety and that when you do, it will feel wonderful!
