Okay, so many of you may be thinking that it’s a little early to be writing about New Years’ resolutions, but I figured I should get these written down somewhere before I forget. Also, I’m hoping that some of them might inspire you to make some helpful resolutions of your own. So here are my resolutions for the rest of this year and next:
1.) Practice and exercise more
- We can never practice facing our fears too much. We need to practice and exercise in order to get through our anxiety and in order to feel better in general.
2.) Take inventory of my medication and make sure I have enough before I find out too late that I don’t
- This is a difficult one, but very important. I have a bad habit of waiting until the last minute to check if I have enough medication and then if I don’t, I have to wait for the doctor to call it in. Up until now, it hasn’t been a big deal. However, I haven’t taken my anxiety medication in a few days and I’ve been feeling light-headed. I don’t know if it’s due to not taking my medication or if I’m getting sick, but either way, putting off checking ones inventory of medication until the last minute is not a smart thing to do!
3.) Don’t allow others to take away my happiness or knowledge that I am trying my best to get through my anxiety
- There will always be people who don’t understand what we go through, but that doesn’t mean we should allow them to bring us down. As long as we are trying our hardest to get through our struggles, that is all that matters. I know this is not always easy to remember, but it’s the truth.
These are my resolutions for now! What are yours?
Get through the rest of this year and then focus on 2016 – that’s my aim for now! Good luck with your resolutions.
Good suggestion! Thanks, good luck to you as well! 🙂
Thanks 🙂
Those are good resolutions! I really like #1. I feel so much better in general when I take the time to exercise. It’s not just for losing weight. It’s to be healthy mentally and physically. It helps my anxiety. Good for you for looking ahead! I’m still in xmas stress mode
Thanks! I’m sorry the holidays are a stressful time for you. 😦 Hopefully, you can enjoy yourself as the holidays get closer!
Yes, I will. I stress, but it always comes together. Not to worry, I tell myself 🙂 My daughter just got home from college for break, so I’m a very happy momma!
That’s great! I hope you and your daughter are doing well!
I never make new years resolutions, but this is a great list of achievable goals 🙂
Thanks!
